Jessica
I finally broke down and joined Lockerz today. Not that I have time to join another social networking site/rewards program but this one sounded great. I've read several blog posts about this new site and saw that they already have almost 23,000 Facebook members on their fan page.
You earn points for doing different tasks. Two points for logging in every day, another two points for responding to the daily post. Really easy, today they asked if you prefer Facebook, MySpace or Bebo. Check the box and earn two points. But what I love about this site is the prizes and how dirt cheap they are going for. You can redeem your points for all kinds of merchandise, a Marc Jacobs handbag for 350 points, an iPod Touch 32 gb for 600 points, every video game for all the different consoles go for 100 points, makeup palettes for 85 points!!! I'm a beauty product fanatic and am definitely going to take advantage of the makeup prizes. They also have watches, sunglasses, necklaces, snowboards, tv's, you name it. And it seems you can rack those points up pretty easily. You earn four a day for logging in and answering the question, 4 X 30=120 so in just over a month I can get that Marc Jacobs handbag for doing almost nothing.

The site isn't going live with all of its elements until the end of October. All you can do right now is log in and answer the daily question and invite friends. But you're getting a head start on earning points and you can already redeem for prizes. They showed a picture of all the boxes of prizes they shipped out on Sept. 9. They already said the prizes wouldn't be this cheap for long so get them while you can. The person I signed up under has supposedly already redeemed for several items but has been a member for a few months already while they are in their beta testing. Right now sign up is thru invite only so if anyone wants/needs an invite feel free to email me at gugel98atgmaildotcom with the email you'd like the invite sent to. Make sure you check your spam folder as Yahoo sends the invite directly to spam.
The first time you sign up they let you play this little game to catch dollar bills. Every bill is worth a point towards your prizes. It's a one shot deal only, not something you can do every day. So today I earned 28 points total. Once the site goes live you will be able to earn points for a number of different things. It kind of reminds me of MyPoints/Facebook rolled into one. They want to be your one stop shop. Here's what they have to say about their site:

Quote:
"Lockerz is the place to go to buy the coolest stuff at the lowest prices, watch exclusive video, discover new music, play the hottest games, hang out with your friends - and get rewarded for just about EVERYTHING you do on the site.

Our mission is to be your daily habit, not a site for your parents or grandparents looking for their long-lost friends from Kindergarten.

One other thing you'll love about Lockerz are PTZ (or "Pointz"). PTZ are Lockerz' proprietary loyalty "currency" that you earn whenever you buy, watch, play, share, invite friends, or even just show up on Lockerz. Redeem PTZ at the PTZ Place for incredible prizes, great products and dream experiences.

Too Good to Be True? Why are we doing this? To thank you for joining early. To build a Lockerz community of cool, stylish, cutting-edge people who love to buy great brands. To give you a taste of how PTZ will work when we go live this fall. And to test out different prizes and PTZ levels. That’s key. This version of PTZ Place is a test. PTZ levels will change when the full Lockerz site launch."

I wish I would've joined earlier. Seems they have quite a following already and are creating quite a buzz. They started up in March 2009. I could've had all kinds of points by now, lol. I think I'm going to like this better than SwagBucks where they really make you work for those prizes. It seems like you'll be able to accumulate points faster and the prizes don't cost nearly as much. AND every member of your household can have an account.

Anyone a Lockerz member already? Have you been one long and how many points do you have? Has anyone gotten any prizes yet? I'm really interested in hearing from other members. I'm pretty excited about this one. Only need 57 more points for the smokey eye palette! I'm hoping to get some stuff for Christmas which is right around the corner. They say that you will receive your prize within 7-10 days of placing your order so as long as that holds true I should definitely be able to get a few things in hand prior to the holidays.

Come join my on Swagbucks the world's premiere search engine rewards program. I'm a member of every single one of them and this is by far THE best rewards program on the world wide web. I've earned over $400 in Amazon gift cards since I joined about 9 months ago but there are hundreds of other prizes to be had. Just use Swagbucks.com just as you would any other search engine. Every search gives you an opportunity to win "Swagbucks" which can be redeemed for merchandise ranging from gift cards to Xbox 360 consoles and games, dvds, guitars, Nintendo Wii's and games and much much more. New prizes are constantly being added. I personally always redeem for the Amazon gift cards so by the time Christmas rolls around I do all my shopping on Amazon and don't have to spend a single dime out of pocket to buy my presents. Last Christmas Swagucks paid for all of my presents. And you also earn Swagbucks for referring friends, trading in old video games and consoles, and cell phones. They also have a shopping area so when you shop via their link you earn xxx amount of Swagbucks for every dollar you spend. Points add up very quickly. The Swag Guy(TSG) hides codes on their blog, does trivia games on their Facebook page, on Flickr, and be sure to follow them on Twitter, that's where you'll find out if there are any swag codes currently out there. I earn enough points for two $5.00 Amazon gift cards a week at minimum. If you decide to join, my referral id is
